All my bags are packed. I'm ready to go...

I have packed up all my quilting stuff for the move.

All my fabric and stuff from my sewing room neatly stacked. My husband was shocked how large the pile was.

All of my quilts packed and ready to move. My walls look so bare without quilts on them. Hard to believe I have 4 huge boxes of quilts.

Still not sure when we will be moving. Our septic plans were approved by the county health department. Now we are getting estimates to get the work done. So far the one estimate is for $28,000. That does not include what we have already handed out which is around $5000 and more fees and expenses to come.
So the saga continues.

Now what will I work on?

I have my Hawaiian quilt packed and ready to work on while living with my MIL. Obviously needle turn applique is not my best skill!

Thanks for reading.
Chris

  1. Ack! Well, I knew you were going to do it, had already started, but from my own personal experience, I know that you have finally committed when the sewing room gets packed up. Well, there's lots of reading and reading up you can do, and honing of those applique skills. ;-) For me it was always the movers who were surprised at the size of my pile of boxes from the studio. Oh, I bet the house echos a bit as things come down, get sold, get packed away.

Gosh, I just shudder at those septic costs. I had thought I would buy a house when I moved to Idaho, but the market changed before I was ready to move and I no longer could afford to buy something decent. In retrospect, and from stories like yours, I think that was a blessing.
