Vacation and a sneak peak

Just got back from Oregon. We were there last week for vacation. We had exceptional weather and really enjoyed the vacation. We saw whales along the beautiful coast, hiked in Crater Lake National Park. hiked at Mt Hood, and wine tasted near Salem. We even saw a bald eagle.

Now I have to really get moving on my challenge quilt for the blog hop. I have decided to use the Robert Frost poem "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" as my inspiration. I sewed it together and cleaned up my sewing room yesterday and put all the fabrics I had pulled out for it back into their containers and back into the closet. Now I can breathe again!

Here's a sneak peak. I am pin basting it right now and will hopefully get a lot of the quilting done next week. My day for the blog hop is next Saturday, October 15.

Thanks for reading and check out the blog hop.

  1. Oh dang - I want to see more! Well, soon enough I guess. I too have finished up a project to the point I could start clearing the decks for the next thing - undecided at the moment but leaning toward coiled bowls . . .

Glad your trip to Oregon was so good. You saw some of the best of it!
