If you can, perhaps you c...I too like it as it is. If you can, perhaps you can print a photo and overlay with branches...just to audition. If you choose to do the branches, of course, they likely would be black (thread painting) on dark blue, so would be subtle and perhaps very effective. If you have <i>no</i> quilting in that area, then I would use the branches, subtley, for that purpose.
