I have tried several times and have just been disappointed each time. It feels like a total rejection. I never make art with selling in mind, but it would be nice getting the validation of my hard work by selling a few pieces. So after this last time I’m done with that whole idea. Either my daughter is going to inherit a lot of quilts or I will find organizations to donate to.
Here are some photos of the small hallway exhibit space I had. One small piece with the cat sold. The person that bought the cat was really thrilled with her purchase.
Look how good the cardinal would have looked on a wall in a house. AI image shows this.

When we moved here, I took my art quilts to the Gallery SHop in Lemont. They accepted them...but told me fiber art does not sell in this area. To be honest, I've never known fiber art or art quilts to sell much at all. Only to super top names in the field that have their work in all the biggest shows/exhibits. Don't give up. Just do what you love, and be grateful for having such marvelous talent as you clearly have.
