I finished the house portrait for my sister. It’s painted and stitched on one of our dad’s vellums.
The photos are not great. I’m getting reflections when taking the photos.
Now onto the recycle project
Thanks for reading.

Look to see to remember to enjoy.
My sister’s house on our dad’s vellum is painted and ready to stitch. I back the piece with a Pellon stabilizer and machine and hand stitch. That process will start tomorrow. I’ve done this on several pieces so I know it will work.
I’m making a portrait of my sister’s house for her birthday later this month. I got an image of her house from Google Maps. I added her cat and dog. They are not longer alive, but I felt like I needed to add something to the portrait.
So far I’ve traced out the image on one of our dad’s drafting vellums and I’ve started to color it in. I’ve also played with how to address the bricks. Siding is so much easier.
This is what I have so far as well as a photo of her house.
Once I finish coloring it in I will machine stitch on a pellon stabilizer and do some hand stitching.

Another year has flown by. I did get a lot done this year.
I made 3 gnomes for gifts.
I made my recycle piece from plastic bags and won first place.
I made my piece for the word challenge at a local art museum. My word was wonder and it sold.
I pretty much finished my city collage. I still have to go back and fill in any quilting that came out. Then I did my sister’s house on my dad’s drafting vellum.
I finally got back to the Halloween quilt. My goal was to finish it, but that did not happen.
