I swore that I would finish the Skye Quilt come hell or high water this summer. Well I have been working on it for the last 10 days for the first time in years. I am happy to report that I am getting some things done.
I have now sewn down the background mountains and middle ground cliffs and hills behind the houses. I am working on laying out the stuff in the foreground. The houses now have windows and the foreground has rocks and darker grassy areas. It was the foreground that I had so much trouble with……I blame it on over analysis.

Chris -- you do wonderful landscape quilts. I am in awe. This piece is coming along beautifully. Some quilts are like fine wine, aged to perfection! B.
