We had a wonderful trip, but are glad to be home. Our tour guide, Sheila, was fantastic. We had several local guides that were also fantastic. We learned a lot especially when we were in Northern Ireland. We saw and signed the peace wall, a wall that still remains between Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods. We learned even more than we already knew about the famine and saw famine houses. We saw a sheepdog work with sheep. We saw a wool weaving demo and bought several items….cape, hats, scarf. My cape is beautiful! We had lots of Guinness and Irish whiskey. We ate Irish brown bread. We saw beautiful scenery. We had a bit of rain, but Ireland is still great even in the rain.
Here’s lots of photos. I have one in mind for a quilt. I wonder if you can guess which one!
Thanks for reading.
Chris

ReplyDeleteGlad your trip went so well. Want to see you in that cape! Especially like your photos that include stone buildings and ruins, and the one of boats - one turned over other not.
