The recycle show snuck up on me. The opening reception is March 4 so I basically just have a few weeks to get moving and get my piece done. I haven’t even started!
The theme this year is outer limits. I thought about the phrase from the Outer Limits TV show. It goes, “From the inner mind to the outer limits.”
So I used AI to get my image. I will be working with plastic bags. I’ve already pulled them out. I think I have all the colors that I need. The image with the face that I will be using as inspiration is below as well. Some of the bags are transparent and some are opaque. I will need both. The transparent ones are tricky because colors can combine when they are overlapped. I’m also not adverse to using some fabric scraps. I was going to make this 16 by16, but that may be too big for the amount of black bags that I have..
Neither piece will be large and I won’t be doing any hand stitching on them.

I'm wondering about the plastic bags. The whole composition will disintegrate won't it? At least here in Canuckland all our plastic bags turn into little tiny pieces of plastic that are almost impossible to corral. This is why we are all shopping with our own cloth bags!! So you have set yourself 2 tasks for the next month, best on luck. I'm still under the weather so not much happening in my studio. Laceflower
