The quilt made it to the bed

The king size quilt that I made for our daughter finally made it to her bed. Looks like her cat, Quincy, loves the quilt. Nothing like a black cat on a quilt with black cats! It’s a really large king size quilt as you can see in the photos.

I’ve been sick this week so not much quilting going on. It’s a summer cold that won’t quit. The Boston quilt is about 50 inches by 80 inches. I needed a break from quilting it. Will get back to it next week.

Thanks for reading.

Chris

  1. Love it! Get well soon. Frank got it early this week and now i have the symptoms. With a broken thumb, I’ve already been severely limited in what I can do. May as well get sick too!

  2. I'm laughing at myself because I thought your real cat was part of the quilt!! My sister's family loves black cats and they always feel so intriguing to me...mysterious and elegant. What a great idea for cats on an Irish chain quilt variation. That is a monster sized quilt but what a great finish!! Your daughter is lucky to have an heirloom in the making!

  4. Confession, I'm a cat fan. Love all the different poses. Each one could be Quincy. Clearly he is enjoying "his" new quilt.

  5. Bravo! Fabulous! And the real black cat on it is the perfect accent! Rest up and rid yourself of that cold. The Boston quilt will still be there when you have more energy to tackle it again (I know, where are the quilting elves that are supposed to work on it when you're down?. You ARE getting there. :-)
