After posting about my upcoming show in July I received a comment that I should be showing my architectural quilts. That would be great except for 2 things….I only have 15 feet of display space and I don’t really want to sell most of them. I think I’m too attached to them. The quilts that I am showing I’m not as attached to. Some of the ones that I’m attached to I feel are almost like my children. Some of them took way longer than 9 months to birth. Maybe that’s why I’m so attached to them.
Here’s the ones that I can’t part with.

Are you attached to some of your quilts? Or is it easy for you to let them go?
Thanks for reading.
Chris

I can see why you want to keep these beautiful works, Chris;)))
ReplyDeleteIf I make a quilt specifically for someone then I know it's going and plan for it; if i just make one for fun or with a prompt and plan on keeping it--I really don't want to let it go!!
Some quilts do take forEVER to come to fruition, don't they? I have quite a pile of various bigger quilts, wall quilts, lap ones and just table toppers that I plan on keeping. Sort of chronological view of my quilting journey from beginning to the present. I love taking them all out and airing them...they are full of memories for me...
hugs, Julierose
They don’t all have to be for sale! Show off your talent!!
ReplyDeleteOh man, it is SO hard for me to part with most of the quilts I've made. It's easier when I start with someone in mind that I want to gift a quilt to but sometimes even then, it's hard to let go. And then there are a few that I wouldn't mind seeing go away, nothing wrong with them mind you, but they seldom sell - lol.
