“Fabulous Night for a Moon Dance” is done

The machine quilting was so easy and fun on this one. I guess that could be because I just had my machine tuned up a few weeks ago. It was so quiet and so smooth while I was quilting it.
The Moondance song by Van Morrison has been going going though my head since the challenge was issued back in February. I guess I have the lyric wrong since it is supposed to be “a marvelous night for a moondance.”
Well, it's a marvelous night for a Moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I'm trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the night's magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush

Quilting the Angelina moon was a little difficult. I quilted it with invisible thread so it was hard to see where I had already quilted so there was some overlap of quilting stitches. Oh well that does not bother me. I quilted the moon with small circles (craters) and the sky with meandering quilting. I only outlined the tree so it would stand out above the rest. One thing I do notice is that my eyesight is definitely not improving with age!
I love all these challenges. They really make me think plus I get to use up fabrics in my stash especially for the backs. Plus I have gotten really good at bindings!
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.
Chris
