I'm finally sewing the sashing to the diamonds. Making sure the diagonals line up is a little tricky, but I think I've finally found a way that works for me. Here it is taken from an angle on my floor. It's too hard to hang back up on my design wall. Plus I'm worried about stretching it too much with handling.
Thanks for reading.

I'd have to use diamond cornerstones to help me with lining up. Of course, I use square cornerstones when sashing a straight set quilt as well, even if they are the same color as the sashing. When I tried to skip cornerstones....well, let's just say I had less than optimal results ;-)
ReplyDeleteThumbs up! Those diamonds are so pretty and the sashing is setting them off well. I commiserate with you regarding lining it all up and avoiding stretching - a mighty feat!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's a challenge without setting triangles, but thinking of it as a quilt set 'on point' might help?
