Quilt news

I’ve sold a quilt and will be donating one to a raffle for a local art museum.

This is the one that is sold. It is called “Orange sky at night.”

After I renewed my membership for a local art museum I sent them an email to see if I could exhibit my work. This year is booked, but I would be on the potential list for 2025. Then they asked if I could donate a quilt for their raffle this summer. They picked this one. It is called “Under a turquoise sky.”

The raffle is not until June or July so I think I might do a little hand stitching of grasses on it. This was an improvised landscape quilt taken in a class. I’m thinking that maybe donating a quilt will help me get a show at the museum next year.

I’m still working on the crow. Boy is it complicated.
Thanks for reading.

  1. Congrats at this good news! That's a lovely quilt that sold. I do think the one the museum chose for the raffle would benefit from some hand stitched additions. Hopefully you will be showing at the museum in 2025!
