And not on the quilting front. I have the Halloween quilt layered and ready to pin. So quilting is not the issue.
The issue is a stupid company called GloFiber. They started installing fiber for internet last Monday morning on our street and they hit a gas line while digging. That was 2 houses over from our house. We had to leave our houses and stand around on the street for hours. The smell of gas was really strong. I managed to get 2 of the 3 cats outside on the screen patio, but one was hiding.
We eventually got back into our house late in the afternoon. The gas company was there until Thursday morning purging gas out of the ground. As of today GloFiber has not been back. I hope to never see them again.
Thanks for reading.

I just love this Halloween quilt you've gotten together!! It is a spectacular work..;))) Hope you don't have any more interruptions from the installation ....hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteHow terrible that must have been for you and the cats and the neighbors! Glad no one was physically ill from gas poisoning, but one would assume they should have KNOWN where all the underground systems were located and avoided them!!!
ReplyDeleteI rather wondered what was keeping you from your usual posting day. How disturbing in more ways than one! However, so glad to hear the Halloween quilt is done in terms of fiddling with the top, and nearly ready to quilt. It's really looking good.
